What if I am going to have lip fillers?

If possible, you should have your permanent cosmetic lip procedure done before you have lip fillers. As soon as all swelling has resolved, lip fillers can be applied. Wait a minimum of a week to ten days for the swelling associated with the permanent makeup lip application to completely subside. Otherwise the swelling from this procedure can obscure the shape of your lips, and might not allow for the most optimal augmentation.

If you have already had lip fillers it is a good idea to wait 4 to 6 weeks before having your permanent lip procedure done. If you have a permanent lip procedure done to soon it may make the color heal weaker and sometimes looks “cool”.
